Welsh singer Nia raises over £60,000 for work in Romania and Armenia.

WELSH pop singer Nia recently completed 33 concerts across the UK in the These Hands: The 2003 Multi Media Roadshow on behalf of the Smiles Foundation bringing relief to Romania and Armenia. £65,587 was raised for the foundation. Said Nia, "What a thrill it is when doing what I love most, singing and sharing the Gospel - to have also raised over £65,000 for mission work in Romania and Armenia. I'll never forget a 15 year old girl at one the concerts, bringing her birthday money, to sponsor a day at the Soup Kitchen for 200 refugees in Armenia. These things are modern day 'widow mite parables.' Thank you to all who attended the concerts and chose to use their hands to change someone's world." CR
