Stuart Trotter releases 'Old, New, Borrowed & True' CD

SCOTTISH worship leader Stuart Trotter has released his second solo CD, 'Old, New, Borrowed & True'. It was recorded at Ted's Place in Jamestown, Scotland, with producer Sammy Horner. Stuart told Cross Rhythms, "This is my second solo recording and follows 'Wash Over Me' from 2006. For some time I have wanted to do an album with old hymns mixed in with some newer songs. My brother passed away in February this year and I had been asked to sing at his funeral. I was again moved by the power and truth proclaimed by the hymns sung at his funeral and as I sang 'The Old Rugged Cross' (his favourite) it occurred to me that I had to do this. I spoke to Sammy Horner and we set aside some time to do the recording. As a worship leader at a church who uses mainly new songs it was a great experience to re-do some of the old songs, many of which I had heard from my childhood." CR
