As If. record first album for seven years

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE-based band As If. have released a new independent album. The project, 'Aurora Noise', was produced and mixed at Appletree Studios, owned by the band's frontman Phillip Goss. Said Goss, "It's been seven years since the last As If. album and this collection of songs has been written over that period, some of which we've been playing live for a number of years, so it's nice to have them in a recorded form, at last! As If. are best thought of as a rave/dance/techno/rock/pop trio but on this album we did the 'fireside' test, ie, could these songs be played on an acoustic guitar around a fire, so it's a lot more 'organic' and 'real'. We controlled the computers rather than them taking the lead!" CR
