The Iona Community’s John L. Bell (a recent speaker at Lee Abbey) is a modern-day pioneer in the encouragement and development of congregational song. These books share John’s insights distilled from over 20 years experience in which he has facilitated sung worship in venues as diverse as old people's homes with half a dozen hearing-aid users to large festivals with over 10,000 gathered for worship.

The first book, ‘The Singing Thing’, deal with the important question of why we sing, whereas the second volume, ‘The Singing Thing too’, discusses more practically how we can enable congregational song.

John writes with eloquence and wit, making this literary couplet a must for all church leaders and musicians seeking to facilitate communities of believers to express their faith through song.

Do not delay to read these books!
