Popular roots band Why?, whose frantic jigs and reels brought THEM A major festival

FOLLOWING, have broken up. The Cheltenham-based team whose albums included 'Giggle' (1995), 'Jig At A Why? Gig' (1996) and 'Happy' (1999), played their last concert at Birmingham's NEC at the MAYC event Breakout on October 2nd and 3rd. Breakout attracted nearly 11,000 people. Other attractions were a TV broadcast for the BBC's Songs Of Praise and performances by the World Wide Message Tribe and the London Community Gospel Choir plus an appearance of the Cross Rhythms Roadshow.
