This grassroots team have now split up so this is their swan song. Retro rock sounds, jangly guitars and plaintive vocals make up this recording from Agape and it's not bad either. Plenty of Eddie Cochran-type guitar solos and a jolly selection of well written songs ring out loud and clear. Throughout it has a naive rawness which I quite like as a refreshing change. As it happens (guys and gals) the whole album is eclectic - a mish mash of rock, blues, mellow ballads and synthesised melodies. The opening track "He'll Make You Think" might just make you rock 'n' roll too! (Cue the Eddie Cochran guitar solo!) Hark! Is that the sound of Motown I hear? The opening bars of "Patmos" sound suspiciously like "You Can't Hurry Love" by The Supremes. See. I told you it was eclectic!
