What an improvement to their first EP. 'Separation' consists of five new doom metalsongs of much higher quality than Ashen Mortality's previous demo. The sound is tighter and up to the standard of Seventh Angel days. The only thing that's really lacking from this is powerful keyboard sounds. Their current keyboard sound is very weak and tends to become drowned by the heavy guitars. But apart from this I think this EP shows the true potential behind Ashen Mortality, a potential that's going to make them big. I really did like this EP. Musicianship of a very high standard.
