Produced by Tim Taber (whom devotees of '90s Christian rock will remember as the frontman of the groundbreaking The Prayer Chain), 'We Believe' was recorded live in California and effectively meets a diversity of musical tastes due to the fresh, positive writing. Congregational vocals from the audience are audible throughout but due to the quality of writing no song relies on crowd participation to make it work. The varied writing will attract those whose preference may lie outside the boundaries of the present day worship genre but satisfactorily meeting the tastes of the uncompromising worship appreciator. Written and performed by Jenn, the penultimate piano-led "A Little Longer" is delightfully raw and provides an example of the Johnson's composing strength. The offering of thanks and praise bursts forth as a bid to lift the roof is put forward in "O Taste And See". Coming in both live and studio version, the latter perhaps provides one of the overall highlights of a truly great album. Fresh and powerful worship that needs to be sought out.
