CRC Music is the worship arm of South Africa's Christian Revival Church and its debut live album, fittingly given the title, gets off to an explosive start with the thumping call to go large for God in "Bigger" before the similarly upbeat "Set Free" continues down the same path whilst declaring the kind of freedom that can only be found in Christ. Both of those tracks meld dance and rock elements to produce something interesting and, by the time we get to the even more dance-orientated "No More Shuffling", it seems that the scene is set for a worship release that is truly different from the norm. However, proceedings soon slot into default modern worship mode with the remainder of this undeniably well-executed and passionate offering sounding just like any other praise release currently on the market. Plodding mid-tempo numbers like "Come Home", "Glorious Engagement" and "It Was For Freedom" end up defining an album that starts out in explosive and unpredictable fashion but ends up becoming a disappointingly stable and safe affair.
