At the time this was a revelation - a bit like the Eagles turning out a talking Heads album. Represents the completion of DA's move from west Coast Country Rock to weird but tuneful noodling. Despite having the US CD of this, I had my British vinyl copy transferrted to CD (so sue me...) - and it still sounds great - and ought to be compulsory listening for stuck-in-the-mud worship bands and "Oh look-at-those-boring-evangelicals-with-their silly-old-fashioned-guitars" -type postmodern, post-evangelical, post-everything "Christians" - you know those to whom ironic detachment is more important than faith....
Must go - need my dried frog pills.
Get this album, it's great....
