Part of EMI's 'Two For One' series, this collection features two of the earliest Celtic Praise offerings from the British Celtic music ensemble, dating at 1997 and 1999 respectively. It's an apt re-release, for these sounds are quite timeless and they are now opened up to a generation of worshippers who may have missed them first time round. Both albums contain a batch of (then) contemporary worship songs interwoven with a number of the band's own creations - creating a beautiful, seamless whole. These are tender worship gems, each soaked in authentic Celtic flavouring and topped with the haunting beauty of Sarah Lacy's wispy vocals. Several members of Iona also show up as instrumentalists on these discs. Two of my favourite tracks are the vertical "I Exalt Thee", a finer version of which little-heard song (at least this side of the Millennium) I've yet to hear, and Eden Bridge's own "Shadow Of Your Hand". A gorgeous collection.
