This is a high standard work of praise from a London-based singer/songwriter. Recorded at a series of locations including Germany, Edwin has led a multi-talented collection of musicians and singers to produce an exceptional set of interpretations of selected psalms. Contributing not only on understated and unbelievably high lead vocals and piano backing, he's also produced the album to a very professional standard. The syncopated rhythms are as simple as the words are emotive and thought provoking and the tunes are blues-orientated and compelling. Originating from a very musical family this pleasant voiced singer songwriter has created a Kendrick-esque pleasing sound. The tracks vary in tone and colour; some can be used as a background to prayer and mediation and others as a lead to worship and praise. "Into Your Hands I Commend My Spirit" is a delightful interweaving of backing vocals and tenor lead; "Listen To My Cry" is full of pleasing rhythm and meaningful lyrics. On "I Love You Lord" Edwin is beautifully backed by St Patrick's Gospel Choir.
