Gary Houston's CV is impressive having toured with the likes of Ian White, Noel Richards and comedy duo Rodd And Marco. Gary's versatility as a session musician is reflected in this solo offering, both in the instrumentation he plays and the interesting and eclectic array of musical styles on the album. The mood throughout is reflective and meditational and incorporates a bit of everything from the acid jazz-like opener "Who Said" to the bluesy "I'm Covered By The Blood" and folksy "Let My Hands Be Strong". The album is well produced and the songs arranged well, although using real drums would have added something a little more exciting rhythmically than the rather one dimensional sounding programmed drums. The vocals too are pretty indistinctive and become a bit monotone by the end, however, musically and lyrically the album is a winner.
