When I heard the first track on this album I was filled with great expectations of the tracks to follow. The combination of harps and pan-pipe sounds (turns out the latter are programmed!) is indeed a 'heavenly' one and it lifted my spirits. The rest of the album was a little disappointing, simply because the sound remains pretty much the same throughout. After a while I realised I'd missed a few tracks as my mind wandered onto other things. However, this is a great concept, and perfect timing with meditational music on the increase. Each track is an arrangement of a classical or sacred piece of music and the inlay card gives a brief biographical and background information about the composer and his work.
