Gradually the cloying tendrils of stardom seem to be engulfing another hugely talented teenager. The freshness that made her 'Llegar A Ti' album a pop Latin delight seems to have been replaced here with a safer, smoother MOR sound. Jaci's voice is still superlative of course, and though I don't speak a word of Spanish, the way she breathily emotes and soars across the banks of violin is never less than impressive. Occasionally the sinuous Spanish groove of the accompaniment is just right, like on the skipping "Dueno De Mi Corazon". But too often this album swings into overblown ballad theatricality. Approach with caution.
