Jason's main claim to fame is that he finished fourth in the seventh season of American Idol. Here, the songs are mostly written by Mr Castro and several of these songs have strong hook lines. Texan Jason's look, with his attractive smile and cool dreadlocks, are sufficiently different to attract interest and he has something of the teen idol about him, especially in songs like the new single that's included here "Let's Just Fall In Love Again". This is a breezy little song, quite old-fashioned in a way, complete with whimsical whistling. There is a strong Christian content to this album and songs like "You Are" are spot on spiritually. Jason said in interview that this song was his "first love song to God". He has a really attractive, flexible tenor voice, which he uses sensitively. I liked "What If I Fall", a good upbeat, well-arranged opening track. The whole album is acoustic - relaxed and understated, but with a sincere charm with a style that is not unlike Jason Mraz.
