Reviewed by Trevor Kirk Jeff Trish has been described as being in the Larry Norman mould of singer/songwriters, but listening to this completely self-penned release, his second on Broken Records after 'Perspective In Tune' (reviewed in CR56), I might best describe him as a fusion of Bob Dylan and Tony Loeffler. The band assembled by producer and keyboardist Keith Mohr makes all the right noises at all the right times - wailing lead guitar, B-3 Hammond, pumping bass and crashing drums for the rocky/bluesy stuff, and mandolin, pedal steel guitar, violin, harmonica, dobro and banjo when Jeff does his Dylan-esque thing. No mistaking the Christian content: Jeff delivers up-front messages on love, forgiveness, redemption, evangelism, spiritual warfare, prayer and the dangers of ignoring the Creator of the universe, and everybody gets stuck in to deliver a good meaty 54 minutes' worth.
