Another album from the seemingly vast selection of American Christian rock. At first listening 1 thought it nice, but... However, after listening to the album again it becomes obvious that this is an intelligent offering with good lyrics and fine musicianship. His voice carries the songs well and there are some pleasing harmonies. Though I have classified this as rock it is of the gentler variety with a leaning towards a balladic style. Standout tracks for me are "Brilliantine" and "Begin Again" though all the songs are capable of standing up to scrutiny. All this album lacks is an element of initial impact to make the listener pay attention immediately. Gets better the more you listen to it. Visit the website and check it out - well worth a listen.
