Level 3:16 is billed as much more than a band. The six-piece, hailing from all quarters of the US, describe themselves as "musicianaries", dedicated to sharing the gospel via music and spoken word. Their focus on music ministry is no surprise given they met and were trained thanks to The Impact Movement, itself founded as part of international mission group Campus Crusade For Christ. This self-titled album has already gone down a storm in the US, topping numerous charts since release in December 2010. It's easy to see why; for a debut, this is a highly accomplished project and it's hugely satisfying to listen to a band with commercial appeal whose diverse artists all retain their own individuality. The result is a fresh, vibrant and eclectic mix of hip-hop, lyrical poetry, R&B and urban gospel. But be warned: this is no armchair album. Appropriately for a band of musicianaries, several tracks - "Via", "Tell Em" to name but two - focus first and foremost on the urgent need to take the Gospel far and wide. It's hard to single out tracks from such a consistent album but if hard-hitting beats and lyrics are your thing, "Crazy" and "Total Submission" will blow you away. Think K-Drama meets KJ52 with a twist. On second thoughts, buy the album and come up with a better description.

Product Description

Answering the call of Scripture to use their God-given talents for the purpose of promoting the gospel as urban missionaries, new group Level 3:16 enter the scene focused and determined as musicianaries (musicmissionaries).

Uniting this unique collection of young, energetic artists from all across the USA is one common mission to elevate the culture and their generation to the next level of reality that goes beyond what is seen to what is unseen: that level begins with embracing the gospel message, quintessentially revealed in the renowned Bible verse of John 3:16, as both the means and goal of life itself.

Offering an eclectic fusion of Hip Hop, R&B and urban gospel, Level 3:16 is comprised of two male emcees, three female vocalists and one female DJ.

Skilfully combining melodic Hip-Hop and hard-hitting beats with the musicality and three-part harmonies of R&B, topped off with classic lyricism, a strong vocal blend and spoken word, the versatility of the brand is inspiring and impressive.

Their self-titled debut album is released on Cross Movement Records through a strategic partnership with The Impact Movement, an organisation focused on college-oriented ministry that develops students of African descent into Christ-centred leaders.
