The debut of this gospel songstress presents original and remixed versions of feature tracks "Feels So Good" and "We'll Overcome" before closing with a soulful house remix of "Not Only Human". "Feels So Good" is first up in original form. Mayers' capably leads via piano, tactfully building the song with the music effectively reflecting the positive implications of the upbeat lyrics. The old school remix follows with the piano taking a back seat before the lengthy less-vocal drum and bass mix. Mayers' ample vocal talents are displayed to see through the musical diversity right through the recording. Things relax temporarily with "We'll Overcome" drawing from 1 John Chapter 5 as the chorus declares "Whatsoever is born of the Lord will win/We'll overcome this world by faith" as well as emphasising the importance of waiting on God while staying humbly on the vine. The remixed versions follow just before this short insight to Lisa Mayers creativity closes with "Not Only Human". A release that will sufficiently whet the appetite to keep watch for a full length album from one of Britain's most gifted gospel divas.
