Matthew has quickly risen to the CCM big league, starting with this 2003 album which for unfathomable reasons of licensing wasn't issued in the UK until long after the time it won a Dove. But if you enjoyed Matthew's latest 'Something To Say' set you may well want to search out this one as well. Because I can report that a) these songs do not age in their appeal, b) the style is polished and confident, not like a typical first album, and finally c) because the lyrics have things to say to us. They relate to the eternal greatness of God, his mercy and our response to him. If you haven't heard any of his other albums this collection remains a good place to start, particularly if you like that strong, melodic, guitar-led, worship-full rock-pop which Matthew does so well.
