News At Eleven are a Catholic worship ensemble hailing from Los Angeles. This is a good CD of original songs with crisp musicianship, clear and harmonious vocals, an impressive variety of styles and great lyrics to worship to. The best songs always get you singing along and this CD has that virtue. Songs are copyrighted to the group so I don't know if they are written by lots of different people but many are really good and several deserve to find a place in worship in lots of local churches. They would lend themselves to small band or large choir renditions. The songs worth looking out for on this 2005 release are "Alleluia (Raise Your Voice)"; "For the Lord's Sake"; "See What Love The Father Has"; "Hold Me In Your Light Lord" and "With The Lord There Is Mercy".
