Bizarrely, this is the second album I have with this title - not that they are otherwise very similar, the other was a collection of music from Thunderbirds, etc. Moving on (swiftly) to the collection in hand. 24 tracks of the foremost worship songs recorded on classical guitar (with three of Nick's own songs in there too). Okay, confession time, my first reaction was, "Hasn't this already been done? And do we need more instrumental version of those worship songs we know so well?" But then something good happened, I opened my ears and just listened. I must say that this recording is actually good to listen too because the choice of songs, arrangements and above all the playing are just simply well done. And on second viewing there are a few surprises in the track listing such as the Steve Bassett/Sue Rinaldi song "I Will Cry Mercy". I must learn to get beyond first impressions faster.
