Nikki, an ex-Army medic, is a singer/songwriter who is steadily gaining attention. Recently performing at the Big Church Day Out following a public vote, she now presents this, her first EP containing six songs. Her stated influences are clear, namely Natalie Grant and Philippa Hanna while her approach is pretty diverse, ranging from the slightly retro sounding "Forever Faithful", the bluegrass feel of "Nothing I Can Do" to the intimacy of "Held By Love". The track "Made For You" demonstrates just how good a singer this lady is with the peaks and troughs of the song expertly performed. It is clear that Ms Hopkins is someone to look out for in the future.
