'Life Is Beautiful' is the debut release from this LA-based band and is the most successful CCM debut album of the year Stateside. The 13-track album is a blend of pop and soft rock worship songs, with the band being augmented by guest appearances from Darlene Zschech and Tyler Williams. All of the songs are worship/God focussed, and many would work well in a congregational setting. A personal favourite is "Fill This Place" which features Darlene Zschech, a great worship song that wouldn't be out of place on any of the current Hillsong United albums. This is a well put together album that has all the production pizzazz and memorable hooks that one associates with the Top 40. Special mention should go to the Dream Center where the band are based. There is much more on the internet, but in short the Dream Center is a significant outreach based in LA that seeks to impact their community. Reaching over 40,000 people a month, it feeds, houses and clothes those who are in need in the LA area. All proceeds from the sale of 'Life Is Beautiful' are going back into the Dream Center. For those who like pop/rock with a Christian message, this album is worth checking out, and you'll no doubt be hearing it on the Cross Rhythms stations - even though it, rather strangely, has yet to receive a UK release.
