This concert video was originally released back in 1999, but is now available in the UK on DVD. Though there are more recent releases available from the legendary Mr Smallwood, this shows him pretty much on top form. Surprisingly he doesn't spend a lot of time at the piano, but keeps on his feet next to his choir Vision for most of the performance. And what a choir it is: their characteristic wall of sound is powerful and electrifying, and all 30 or so of them appear to be giving 100 per cent. Some of their solo performances are captivating. The Hammond organist appears to be having a particularly good time too, but the rest of the musicians (including string orchestra and horn section) don't get to be seen on camera for more than a few seconds. Many of the songs are quite simple lyrically, but full of passion and vitality: "Faith", "Healing" and "At The Table" to name a few. One of the best, "Holy Spirit" is left to the end, but is disappointingly cut short by the end of concert announcer. For any fan of Richard's this is a must-have and goes to show why he is now a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
