Here's a wonderful set of soulful acoustic country from a superbly talented duo. This is authentic, deep south, black gospel/blues-influenced rootsy country. Heavily laden with that mournful Hank Williams sound, lots of lonesome, sizzling dobro and slide guitar and wailing harmonica. The Williams' have deep roots in gospel music, which shows in the authenticity and intensity of their vocals. Their band join them for a couple of powerful acappella tracks, fans of old-time country will note the presence of ex-Red Clay Ramblers' Jim Watson on bass/vocals. A glorious set of the real stuff, to help complete your education.
