This, the second album by the London-based rapper, has already made a bit of Christian music history, being the first album emanating from Britain's thriving gospel hip-hop underground to register in the American charts. It's easy to hear why as 'So It Continues' is brimful of catchy hooks and verbal dexterity, as demonstrated on "Away Soon" (which features Sean C Johnson) and "The End?". Both of these have already been selected for Cross Rhythms radio exposure. As befitting a Lamp Mode artist, S.O.'s flow and lyrics are intelligent and grounded in Scripture (eg, "Lamentations" featuring Leah Smith and "Walk In The Son II") and thought, as evident from the lead title track. Musically we're talking east coast hip-hop with a mostly laid back but highly expressive lyricism and tight beats, as in "I Can Bear" and the tribal sounding and awesome look at the character of God in "I Am" featuring Shai Linne. Expect to hear this track too on Cross Rhythms Radio. Exceptions come in the quickfire delivery in "Radical" featuring J.Williams and hip-hop giant Lecrae. Other standouts are "Tell Em All" featuring Andy Mineo and the upbeat glory to God filled "You Know It" featuring London's production whiz E Tizz. Drink deeply, reflect on and allow this to sink deep into your heart.
