If you read the Cross Rhythms article on this band you will know that 'These Simple Truths' was a major US Christian radio hit though extraordinarily this album STILL hasn't been released in the UK! Reminiscent of Casting Crowns and MercyMe (who they have also toured with), this is full of catchy, poignant and impacting songs. "The Words I Would Say" with its chorus "Be strong in the Lord/And never give up hope/You're gonna do great things/I already know/God's got his hand on you/So don't live life in fear" is a modern classic that resided on the Billboard charts for 20 weeks. "You Love Me Anyway" is almost as good and again is a beautiful song with a great chorus and powerful lyrics. Lead singer Dave Frey possesses an expressive voice that is both powerful and touching. This is an essential release; I can't wait to hear what they follow it up with.
