Released in 1984, this was the band's swansong album and saw them taking a more electronic direction which seemed to suit them better than the sounds of 1982's 'Cutting Edge'. Electronic drum sounds and a wider variety of synth noises anchors this in the mid '80s but somehow the style works for the band when it's really utilised so that the groove of "Habit Of Hate" is top notch. Similarly "Perfect Timing", "Envy And Jealousy" and "Computer Age" are very much stuck in their time but no less pleasing for that. In places though, when the band's rockier style has a greater emphasis on Randy Thomas' guitar riffing, I'm less convinced! Still, it's great to see this, and the other SCB albums, reissued after all these years and Retroactive Records do a nice job with the digipacks and remastering.
