South Africa, like the USA, Australia, Canada.and of course the UK., is one of those nations currently overflowing with a seemingly inexhaustible reservoir of fine contemporary praise music. I don't recognise the name of any of the seven worship leaders represented here but they're clearly a pretty gifted bunch and I was particularly struck by Tanya Gould's "Further Up" (with one of the most deliciously funky bass riffs heard for many a day), the deceptively simple "Safe In Your Hands" by Lennon Naidoo and, on the title track, Michelle Stafford's fresh take on Psalm 139. A crisp, live recording, some tasty musicianship and no little anointing.
