I'm so pleased to hear that SAOA was a favorite of yours, Jeffrey. I would love to get ahold of a CD copy of it for myself and my family. My wife and I have three sons who are all musical and I'd love for them to be able to hear my work from that period. They have heard much of my more recent work, but little to nothing from my WBB days.

Hey Matt! So nice to hear from you. Of course I remember you. We had some great times of fellowship and playing music together. I remember a time when you me, Phil Keaggy, Alan Bradley and some other friends jammed at Logos together. Always enjoyed your playing. Blessings to you and yours.

Hi Lance,
Remember me, friend of Dave and Jean Johnston in Ithaca, New York, who used to hang out at your Logos Bookstore and played flute and sax? I now work at Jews for Jesus in San Francisco as a writer/editor. My wife works here too. We have three adult children, two boys and a girl. Would love to hear from you. And yes, Start All Over Again, was a great album. Did you find a copy for yourself yet?

Hey, guys, this is a great website to get many great Christian music.
My husband used to be disc jockey at the local Christian radio station during the late 70's. I still have many of the old LP's from that period. I found that converting them to CD was time consuming.
Since I found this website I have gotten almost all of the music on my computer.
I really love the Wall Brothers.

I have a copy of the Start All Over Album. It was always one of my favorites. It is in really good condition. No skips and little pops. I have a USB turntable that I used to convert it to CD

Hey Lance,

Didn't you guys record Randy "something"s "Didn't He"? I just sang that at Easter at my church and I am sure it was you guys who inspired me.

U R AWESOME!

Reply by Lance DeMers in Bremerton, WA @ 16:21 on Aug 24 2009

Thank you for your kind remarks, Jeff. Always good to hear from my home state! You are correct. We used to perform Randy Matthew's "Didn't He?" live. It's a powerful song and we enjoyed doing it, but it was eventually replaced by our newer original songs.
You must have seen us pretty early on. I was the original drummer and toured / recorded with the band from 75 to 78. We probably stopped doing that song around 76 or so.

I have this album. I would love to know if it is available on CD. Or if the backgrounds are avail for "I AM"! I want to perform this song so badly!

I saw the band perform in the late 70 's and bought their albums. From the early ones to this one! Wow!

I was the drummer and one of the primary songwriters for the Wall Bros. Band from 75 to 78. You can't imagine how much I appreciate all of the kind words about our music. I wrote the lyrics for I Am having been inspired by my readings in Job. Kraig Wall wrote the beautiful, majestic music which seemed to fit my theme perfectly. It is one of my favorites and we always seemed to get a good response in concert with it. I'm sorry to say that I don't know how to get copies of the music, nor do I know of any of our albums being released on CD. But it is a real blessing to read your comments here and to know that our music was meaningful to you. Thanks again.

I heard The Wall Brothers band at the Mabee Center in Tulsa (with Amy Grant and BJ Thomas). I was super-impressed at the live sound quality. Great stuff! Still looking for my album...it's got to be around here, someplace.

I was shocked to find info on google about the wall brothers, i was introduced to their music by a guy who was dating my sister back in the 70s, i was to young to purchase their music but when i got older i entered a christian music store in bklyn and i purchaesd all the albums they had on the wall bros. the music and lyrics were and are simply great till this day i still listen to the wall bros. all the songs brought a spiritual message i just made 2 copies of start all over again, i would like to know if they still perform and if they are living, its amazing how time flies to me the wall bros. are timeless

I finished HS in Iowa in 1971, a couple of years before Craig and Graig Wall, and attended the same church as the bassist on their "Start All Over," Randy Nelson, but due to my college years being in Tennessee, could only attend one of their concerts, and that was back in the spring of 1977 at Morningside College. I too am disappointed the group is not together, but just today I was listening to "Start All Over" and thanking God for the great music and lyrics, and wondering if it wasn't maybe just the way it should be.

Hi,
Did you ever get the lyrics to "I Am"?

We (Celebrate Revovery Worship Team Band" play this song, and I have been trying to find the Wall Brothers version to see if it is the same. Our song starts out: There was an old man in the desert / Got a sign from the Lord / Noah build me a vessel...

If this is the song you are looking for, drop me a line at william.forlines@siemens.com and I'll scan in and send the lyrics and chords to you on Monday.

Bill

Could you email me the lyrics to IAM. I have searched for years trying to find them. I wish I could buy a CD of it. But I can see that is almost impossible. My first official date in college was to their concert. But the song, what I remember of it still brings tears to my eyes. Thanks in advance.

I have four of their LPs converted to CD. I liked the band, it's too bad they split up. "I Am" is good, but so are the rest of the songs on the album. I like the song "Little Children" off of their album "At The Door". They use the sound of children laughing at the into and the end of the song.

Their was a lot of good CCM in the 70's. It's too bad that it's all out of print. I wish CCM was like secular music. With secular music, for the most part, albums don't go out of print. I know that if the CCM industry would re-release all of their old albums on CD I would scarf them up.

I was in a CCM band back in the late 70's and early 80's called "Wave Walker" that performed "I Am" as a cover tune. I would love to find a recording of that song again.

If you have any suggestions as to how I could get a copy of "I Am," please let me know.
