London R&B gospel team Four Kornerz win place on bill of huge Hyde Park event.

A TALENT SEARCH run by ITV news programme London Tonight has been won by R&B gospel team Four Kornerz and as a result the band will play at the prestigious O2 Music Wireless Festival at London's Hyde Park with an expected attendance of more than 25,000 people. In the competition, up and coming artists were asked to send in footage of recent performances to be considered in the running for the four coveted competition spots. Over 400 entries were received and a select panel of media judges chose eight from the initial submissions - Four Kornerz being one of them.

For a few days short clip presentations of two bands in action were screened, with a winner chosen daily. Four Kornerz went for selection and won with a 62% majority. The band will now perform on Saturday 25th June on the same day that top-selling dance act Basement Jaxx will be headlining.

Commenting on this achievement Four Kornerz drummer Vidal said, "It's a privilege and a great opportunity to let people know more what we are about. This includes changing the public's perception of gospel music and I guess with each new opening, we get closer to our mission of taking the music to the four corners of the world and this is one of those big steps."
