Pop singer Katy Perry talks about her forthcoming album

MAINSTREAM singer Katy Perry will have her Capitol Records debut, tentatively titled 'One Of The Boys', released on 10th June. Katy told Billboard magazine, "I'm always fighting (my producers) for my lyrics, like, 'I know you want this melody, but I have to say this in this song.' My main goal with the music is to communicate, to give people a snapshot of what I was thinking. With every single song I can give you the person it was about, or a situation or a time, or what prompted me to write it. It wasn't like, 'Let's write a song, we're in a co-writing session.' They're all stories."
