No doubt about it, few can groan, mutter and splutter as effectively as old croaky Dylan. This live set sees a run through of the timeless classics, many of which are more meaningful than ever. Swift flowing 5-piece acoustic band features sterling work from John Jackson (guitar) and Bucky Baxter (dobro, pedal steel). Some songs, "The Times They Are A Changin"' for example, have sparkling new arrangements which remain totally true to the original flavour. The biblical imagery and Jewish awareness are still noticeable and thought-provoking. The man is in good form throughout, actually seeming to enjoy himself whilst maintaining the sinewy intensity and cutting insights we have all come to admire and love. 12 resonant tracks of vintage quality Dylan, as much of a treat as it ever was.
