David was in Season Two of TV's The Voice and did well with his perfect combination of talent, likeability and good looks. Add to that the ability to write meaningful original lyrics plus first class production values and you can be sure this will be good. The album starts strongly start with "It Is Well", a creditable pop song with a serious message saying that even in the bad times, God is good. "Have Everything" is a testimony of surrender to God and is a great showcase for David's powerful yet sensitive and flexible voice. The most commercial track is "Today Is Beautiful" and this was chosen as the single. It's an upbeat song, full of hope and promise and speaks of looking beyond, to the bigger picture in our lives. My favourite is "Ready To Be Myself" because of its honesty. It's about learning not to live for other people's approval, but for God's. I felt the first half of the album was better than the second, especially as it was padded out with two repeat remix tracks.
