This is a reissue on CD of a previously released box set of cassette tapes launched 20 years ago at the Christian Booksellers Convention in America. I remember a friend of mine in the book trade handing me a photograph of Johnny and June at a signing desk and Johnny commenting at the time that it was his proudest work. It is just a straightforward reading of the New Testament in the New King James Edition (there is no music at all), it was always my opinion that Johnny had one of the best recitation voices that I had ever heard and he sounds very good on this. It is very easy on the ear and if you want a top class reading of the New Testament you will enjoy this. If you are a Johnny Cash fan there is some bonuses for you, as included in the set are some never before seen photographs of Johnny and June. For me this is the ultimate reading of the New Testament!
