This is Jonny's second project for Centricity Music but he has been on the CCM scene since 2003. He has released many albums and had a Christian music hit in 2009 with "More Beautiful You". All that experience shows and this EP is a self-assured and mature jewel. The first single from the project is "Breathe", a song which hinges on the contrast between the frantic pace of the verses with the stillness of the refrain. "Enough In You" is another strong number with a great pop intro leading us into Jonny's attractive, relaxed vocals. A touch of Paul Simon, I thought, in the verses about being over-busy, leading straight into the heavier bass and drums of the chorus affirming that God is enough, and so he himself is good enough. "Change" also has some serious theology inside the highly commercial packaging. The songs are not complicated but have been well produced by Chad Copelin which maintains the interest. It's difficult to write a lullaby that doesn't sound hackneyed but he manages it here where the EP closes with a pretty but not cutesy song dedicated to his new baby.
