Nichole Nordeman has developed a deserved reputation for writing and performing thoughtful adult pop. So what is being done to her talent by this exercise? You get four of her songs in two versions: one the studio original, the second with the lead vocal stripped out and on-screen lyrics supplied. But they hardly belong with amateur renditions of "I Will Survive": they're too serious. There must be some place in the American Christian ghetto where young holy huddles gather to have bizarre CCM parties.
