In this joint Thumper Punk and Veritas Vinyl release, Jimmy Sisco has laid down a number of original tracks, many with a patriotic and triumphant theme to celebrate the founding of the United States of America. All feature the grimy, spit and sawdust feel of '80s punk music and with a total running time of 17 minutes are succinct blasts of high energy hard music. Highlights include a cover of the classic Altar Boys song "Final Hour" which features guest vocals by Mike Stand, and "The Few And The Proud" which rocks along to the tune of "The Runaway Train". Production is good giving the machine gun drums high profile in the mix and an overall crisp feel to the package. Notwithstanding the quality of the music I still found this album challenging. British listeners will be alienated by the extreme patriotism shown in many of the lyrics while the addition of excerpts from ex-presidents reading the declaration of independence along with the inclusion of songs such as "My Rifle And I" and "Much Better Dead Than Red" will make many wince.
