Pyramid Park is Cambridge-based singer/songwriter Pete McAllen, who shocked everyone by making number one on the Cross Rhythms chart in 2017 with his appealing "Fall On Me" track from his 'Vulnerability' album. We confidently expected Pete/Pyramid would build on that success but instead he seemed to fall off the radar with no further releases. Now the long wait is over and the songsmith returns with this pop rock single. The production, mix and lead vocal are all adequate and there are some nice keys interjections over the electric guitars. But the song itself simply isn't hooky enough to distinguish it from the thousands of others bombarding Spotify et al. So we must reluctantly report that this isn't the comeback Cross Rhythms were hoping for.
