The Tommies are back in town! The veteran choristers, produced by Percy Bady (Commissioned, Winans), bring us their umpteenth class recording with their trademark mega vocals and sensitivity. So many gospel choirs seem to lack gentleness and opt for the full-on screech approach instead. What you get with the Tommies is a not-too-overpowering performance which sounds like they're actually praising! The title track is a gentle reminder to us that "He's Still Good", delivered with passion and conviction. Slick horns and perfect vocal punctuation make "God Can Never Fail" a winner! The tempo rises a little, enough for Tommy Stewart to do justice to the catchy "Cleansed By The Blood", with a chorus you'll be singing in the shower for weeks! I betcha! Chellena Black takes the reins on "Higher", a feel good trumpetsome tune with a hint of funky bass. Other stand out tracks include "Praise Him Til Ya Satisfied" and the lulling "You Deserve Glory". From one of the best in the bizz. You won't be disappointed.
