If you don't know White Heart are America's Number Two Christian rock band after Petra you've not been reading Cross Rhythms. So is this on a par with their 'Freedom' classic? I think so. Rather than sit down and listen to the album, I chose to play it while fixing my car. Even though I grappled with mechanics, the music shone through, impressing me with the comfortable blend of styles and material. The ten tracks, produced by Billy Smiley (guitarist) and Mark Gersmehl (keyboardist) range from pensive ballad to well-crafted techno-rock, though relying more on deft guitar work that keyboards. Several tracks appealed even on the first run through the album, "Vendetta" suggests we "care enough to stand, heal this broken land" where "they're killing people for their tennis shoes". "Unchain" speaks of the longing for freedom when beset by doubt and darkness, all with vocals reminiscent of Yes. This is not a demanding album to listen to, just classy AOR from a band with much to say and the musical chops to hold the listener while they say it

I named my daughter Gabriella (spelled slightly different) because of the song on Tales of Wonder. Even at 16, i wanted to name my first born daughter by that name becauase the song impressed me so much.
