Nick Beggs playing with Iona with potential permanent status

EX-KAJAGOOGOO bass-player Nick Beggs is now playing with Celtic fusion-team Iona. After his appearance with them at this year's Greenbelt Festival Beggs was unable to confirm permanent member status in the band, but was said to be "very excited" about the creative possibilities of the link-up. A trip to Ireland is projected for further work on the project. Meanwhile Iona are travelling to Lindisfarne to shoot a video for their US label Forefront Records. Forefront are rumoured to be in negotiations with a major US label for mainstream release of Iona's first album.
