Rock group Iona perform to encore in Solihull

IN AN unprecedented act of spontaneity; the usually fairly straight and sensible lona performed a rather unusual encore at a recent gig in Solihill. They played a cover version of 70s rock band Free's classic hit "Alright Now". Apparently, Troy Donockly, the band's pipe player, was struggling to get all his instruments together as the band prepared for their encore. Facing the jokes and teasing of fellow band members he busked an impromptu chorus of the song and the rest of the band picked it up straight away.
