Rock band The Samples dropped from US tour

JARS OF CLAY publicity announced the removal of mainstream alternative band the Samples from the group's autumn US tour. The Samples were dropped after performing 15 dates with Jars Of Clay in October. Said Jars Of Clay's Rendy Lovelady, "We communicated very explicitly to their organisation and to the members of the band who we were, what Jars Of Clay stand for and what activities would not be tolerated at our concerts. Contractually, the Samples were informed that there would be no profanity from stage and no alcohol or drugs allowed backstage or during a performance."

According to Lovelady, the Samples refused to honour their contract and began to use "vile" language from stage. Jars Of Clay band members attempted to resolve the situation but problems continued and the band were removed from the remainder of the tour.
