There are some things in this life that remain unchanged, the rising of the sun, rain in Manchester, sheep in Wales and a brilliant BeBe & CeCe Winans album. I remember 18 months ago being introduced to these two by a certain Tony Cummings of this parish - that baptism being the track "Heaven". My opinion of them today remains the same as it did then ~ sheer inspiration. What we have here is an album of 12 tracks which stand head and shoulders above any black gospel I've heard since the last BeBe & CeCe. It appears as if they've cornered the market on soul-wrenching ballads and grooves with more dancability than an army of ants with access to Ben Johnson's medicine cupboard. 'Different Lifestyles is a slightly mellower album than 'Heaven', even the track "Blood" which features your friend and mine MC Hammer is not the rampaging 48-strong, trouser-inflating cudgel to the head that you'd expect it to be, what we actually have is MC Hammer admitting to the world of his need of the blood of Jesus. The musical heavyweights on this album are frightening but what pleases me the most is the overt nature of the lyrics. There's no "Baby Baby's" on this one. Sit back, put on the headphones, get a big mug of Maxwell House, settle back and listen to CLASS.

What a great cd amongst my evergrowing ccm collection of cd and vinyl. The first song I heard from this cd was the fantastic cover of the 1972 hit for pop icons The Staple Singers, "I'll Take You There". I saw the video version first that features Mavis Staples; I just luv the video and the song. WTG Bebe & Cece!
Not too long after this cd, I saw the Christmas music video for "Jingle Bells"; what a great version they did of this song; just love it!! Donna McElroy (well known
bgv for Amy Grant) joins the list of bgv's for cd starter
song "Depend on YOU"; great hip hop ccm song! The nearly 5 1/2 minute"Addicted Love" follows;great ccm style! Well known producer Keith Thomas co-wrote this song with Bebe & Cece: Great song!!:a great extended remix of this song ends the cd songlist .
"It's OK" is such a beautiful song; every believer can relate to the heart touching lyrics. I totally luv the title song, "Two Different Lifestyles". The late R & B
singer, Luther Vandross adds his super polished vocal
to bgv's of "Searching for Love"; this is a 5 1/2 minute
song of pure R & B flavor. If you like the gospel rap,
"The Blood" song is for you; it features MC Hammer and fabulous pop/ R & B vocals of Whitney Houston.
All in all this a fine tuned cd of great ccm songs.
GOD Bless! - Don
