Every so often an album comes out that totally knocks you sideways! This is one such! It comprises 15 tracks of Charlie's popular songs plus three new items. What makes the album stand out is that he introduces each track with anecdotes about what inspired him to write that particular song. The result is a new dimension to the songs and enables one to realise the depth of Charlie's humanity and ability to translate a situation into a song which often then affects other people's lives. Here are some classic songs such as "Special", "Passing Through", "What Colour Is The Wind", "I Am Red " (in my opinion just about the best song he has ever written), "Saints" and "Five Fingers". Although this is not a gospel album as such, Charlie's Christian faith comes through strongly on several of the introductions and personally I am going to buy several copies as Christmas presents for some of my particular friends!
