It is rare that an EP release is as punchy, as polished and coherent as 'The Listening EP'. This outcome is certainly augmented by the excellent production delivered by Nathan Nockels (Tim Hughes, Matt Redman), but it is this Canadian-born singer/songwriter who captures the most attention. The availability of guitar tablature from Macaulay's website instantly opens up an extra dimension for this CD and certainly there are songs strong enough to work in congregational worship settings. These inspirational and energetic, soulful and contemplative songs are a real joy.
