Even the most attentive MTV viewer won't have seen many of the eight vids which make up this splendid anthology. For despite all their efforts the band are still denied access to much of the mainstream and it's been the smaller Christian counter culture which have taken the d:boys to their collective hearts and CD collections. Which just shows what the mainstream have been missing, For many cuts here are among the finest and most incisively attuned pop rock of the last few years. Three songs from 'King Of Fools' ("Promise", "Sanctify" - yes, the live at Wembley Stadium vid - and the stone classic "Deeper"), four from 'Mezzamorphis' ("See The Star", "Gravity", "Pursuit Of Happiness" and "It's OK") and the wonderful new video, directed by Andy Hutch, of the great 'Glo' cut "Everything". To quote from the blurb this video features "walls of fire and torrential rain and perfectly compliments the band's epic sound and essential themes." A must for all those following the Delirious? dream.
